Classmate wa Isekai de Yuusha ni Natta kedo, Ore dake Gendai Nihon ni Okizari ni Narimashita - Chapter 12
Chapter 12: I Became a High School Student
Late at night, I secretly slipped out through the window and made my way lightly onto the rooftop.
"Hup."
Then, with a burst of momentum, I leaped onto the neighboring house's roof.
"Whoa... I actually did it..."
I couldn’t help but be amazed at how I had just pulled off something straight out of a manga or video game ninja move.
And despite pulling off such a feat, I didn’t feel tired at all.
Hopping across rooftops, I made my way to the bustling downtown area near the station.
Before me stood a towering building.
"...Alright."
Fixing my gaze on the rooftop, I took a deep breath.
Then, gathering my strength, I leaped high into the air.
(Oh, crap...)
I easily soared past the third and fourth floors, but as I neared the eighth, I started to lose momentum.
Reacting quickly, I activated my Wind Magic to gain lift and managed to land on the rooftop.
It seemed that jumping straight to the roof of a ten-story building was a bit too ambitious.
"Status."

Was it simply because my stats weren’t high enough? Or was I just not used to handling this body yet?
As I pondered this, my digital wristwatch suddenly blared with an alarm.
Beeep! Beeep!
Tch, is it already that late? I wanted to test out more things...
Feeling a little disappointed, I took one last glance at the dazzling neon lights below before activating a skill as usual.
"Spatial Teleportation."
After a brief moment of darkness, I was back in my room.
Tomorrow was my big entrance ceremony. I should just get to bed already.
Thinking that, I took a quick shower, changed into my pajamas, and slipped under the covers.
◇◇◇
"Still Not Used to It..."
Standing in front of the mirror attached to the sink, I couldn't shake the feeling of discomfort at seeing myself wearing a blazer uniform.
To me, a school uniform meant the gakuran I had been wearing up until just a few weeks ago in middle school.
"Oni... Nii-san, are you ready?"
"Yeah, I'm good to go."
As I stood there lost in thought, my little sister, Kana—right in the middle of her rebellious phase—spoke to me in an exasperated tone.
"...What?"
"Nah, it's just weird hearing you call me 'Nii-san'..."
"Whatever. Just move already."
"Yeah, yeah. Oh, by the way, that hairstyle suits your sailor uniform pretty well."
"~~! Hurry up and go!!"
Kana covered her slightly twitching lips with one hand, then lightly kicked my leg to push me out of the bathroom.
Still, I can’t believe she's already in her second year of middle school. Time really flies.
"Alright, I'll wait outside."
Leaving those words behind, I stepped out of the house.
"Damn, it's cold..."
Even though it was already April, the air outside still felt like winter.
I hesitated, wondering if I should wear a scarf or gloves. Just then, Kana finally came out.
"Here."
"Oh, a hand warmer? Thanks."
With a slightly annoyed look on her face, Kana handed me a disposable hand warmer.
She always acts tough, but she’s actually pretty kind. Of course, if I pointed that out, she'd go ballistic.
"Alright, I’m heading this way."
"Got it. Don't accidentally walk to the elementary school."
"Shut up."
After parting ways with my sister, I started walking toward the station.
It's been nearly two years since that teleportation accident, and now, I’m a high school student.
I’ve continued training and leveling up every single day, but there haven’t been many situations where I had to use my skills. My life has been relatively peaceful.
But today, that peace was about to be interrupted.
"You're the brat who took down Yasu's big bro, aren't you?"
On my way to the station, three rough-looking guys with scowls on their faces appeared in front of me.
Sigh... Here we go again.
Why do I always have to deal with these kinds of people?
"Nope, you've got the wrong guy."
"Don't play dumb! We know it was you!"
As they shouted, the men brandished weapons—metal bats, knives, and other nasty-looking tools.
"Haaah..."
Well, whatever. Let's get this over with.
"Gah!?"
Before they could make a move, I closed the distance between me and the guy in front, stepping into his guard and delivering a kick straight to his chin.
He collapsed, unconscious.
The remaining two visibly panicked and tried to run.
But obviously, I wasn’t about to let them escape.
"Yoink."
"Gyaah!?"
"Guh!?"
I quickly caught up, striking both of them on the back of the neck with a precise chop, knocking them out cold.
If I just left them here, things could get messy.
"Healing Magic. Perception Inhibition Magic."
Normally, knocking someone out with a simple karate chop isn’t realistic.
If you actually managed to do it, it would mean damaging their nervous system or brainstem.
So, I used Healing Magic to restore any damage and followed it up with my newly learned Perception Inhibition Magic to erase any memories related to me.
"Seriously, dealing with this kind of crap on my first day of high school? Give me a break."
Muttering my complaints, I hurried toward the station once again.
someones eventuslly gonma see u doin this...
